The meditation quotes below are reminders of the value that meditation can add to your life.
These quotes can help you remember the need to "quiet your mind" and live in the present moment; and that meditation is available to you anytime, anywhere. These quotations are my personal favorites.
If you already meditate regularly, print out these meditation quotes and post them in a highly visible location as motivation to continue your daily meditation practice.
And if you aren't practicing meditation, consider starting. Anyone can learn to meditate, and improved concentration and memory are among the many benefits.
Reading quotations on a screen is fine, but sometimes it's better to hang them next to your computer or another spot where you will see them every day.
To make it easy for you to print these meditation quotes, I've compiled them into a free Meditation Quotes PDF. You have my permission to give the PDF or printed copies to anyone you wish.

I became interested in meditation when I learned it can increase the mind's ability to focus and concentrate.
Before you can remember anything, you must "pay attention" to it - that is, focus on it intently. The more powerfully you can concentrate, the better you can remember!
But even beyond improving concentration and memory, the inner serenity that meditation provides leads to a host of proven benefits:
Decreased stress
Better sleep
Stronger immune system
Improved mood
Heightened patience and ability to listen, thus improving relationships
Pain control
Meditation is being present in the current moment and accepting (surrendering to) what this moment brings.
As Eckhart Tolle explains in The Power of Now, most people are so entangled with the past and future that they miss what is actually happening in the day-to-day moments of their lives.
Meditating empowers us to quiet the incessant chatter of our mind and be at peace.
By quieting the mind and becoming present, we stop our obsession over mistakes of the past and our worries about the future, and focus instead on actually living.
Meditation experts recommend twice-daily meditation. These meditation quotes are a useful tool for reminding yourself how it is so beneficial to meditate every day.
I'm continually working to improve my meditation practice. Inspiring quotes do help. So below I'll add more quotes as I come across them.
"Meditation is all about the pursuit of nothingness. It's like the ultimate rest. It's better than the best sleep you've ever had. It's a quieting of the mind. It sharpens everything, especially your appreciation of your surroundings. It keeps life fresh."
- Hugh Jackman
